A renewed performing arts venue to showcase culture.
The Auditorium Montignac has been transformed to deliver a performance experience that reflects the cultural ambitions of the Lac-Mégantic community. Conceived as both a learning environment and a cultural venue, the project enhances comfort for performers, technicians, and audiences while modernizing the theatre's infrastructure.

The project included the complete renovation of the auditorium, lobby, and support spaces, the reconfiguration of classrooms, and an addition housing new storage areas and a dedicated loading dock. Dressing rooms were redesigned, backstage facilities were expanded, and multimedia systems were entirely upgraded to meet the demands of both professional productions and school performances. A new control booth, optimized lighting positions, and touring-compatible technical systems improve operational efficiency while increasing the venue's flexibility.

The intervention also elevates the audience experience through a more welcoming lobby, comfortable seating, improved sightlines, and carefully refined acoustics. Reduced mechanical noise, high-quality audiovisual systems, and the warm atmosphere of the theatre create a high-performance cultural venue where education, the performing arts, and the community come together in the best possible conditions.
