A school in dialogue with the forest.

Nestled at the edge of awoodland, Bosquet High School offers a bright, calming learning environment deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. Conceived as a school in the forest, the project places nature at the centre of everyday life, providing students with an inspiring setting where they can learn, connect, and grow.

Designed to accommodate 1,256 students across 48 teaching groups, the three-storey school unfolds through acomposition of interconnected volumes that respond to the site's topography and extend the qualities of the surrounding landscape. Its architectural expression—defined by transparency, vertical relief, timber, and bronze aluminum—evokes the shifting patterns of light filtering through a forest canopy. Extensive glazing, a slender building profile, a central skylight, and carefully positioned interior openings distribute natural daylight throughout the building. Upon entering, a biophilic commons with a generous seating staircase creates a welcoming gathering space overlooking the forest, while the auditorium, library, classrooms, and generously glazed circulation areas maintain a continuous visual connection with the outdoors.

The school is distinguished by thequality and diversity of its learning environments, including bright classrooms, open collaborative spaces, an agora, outdoor classrooms, and settings designed to support both focused work and informal interaction. Flexible and welcoming, the building embraces contemporary educational practices while fostering a strong sense of belonging among its users. LEED v4 Silver certified and recognized with numerous architectural awards, Bosquet HighSchool successfully combines sensitive site integration, architectural innovation, and environmental performance in a refined design where nature becomes a true partner in learning.
