A new vision for banking, where architecture puts people first.

Located at the gateway to Cité Desjardins, this landmark project reimagines the banking experience by placing people, daylight, and collaboration at the heart of its design. Balancing a strong connection to its heritage setting with a contemporary architectural expression, it reflects the evolution of the Desjardins Movement while redefining the workplace and customer experience.

Strategically positioned in Lévis, the branch responds sensitively to the site's topography and the richness of its natural surroundings. Its architecture engages with the different scales of the landscape : a zinc-clad urban façade addresses the energy of the surrounding arterial roads, while the main façade opens toward Vieux-Lévis with a warmer, more welcoming character. Two complementary circulation paths—one indoors and one outdoors—guide visitors naturally toward a spacious, light-filled lobby that serves as the heart of the building.

The project challenges conventional financial institution design by creating open, collaborative, and welcoming spaces. Work areas encourage interaction, while meeting rooms suspended above the lobby evoke the branches of a tree, reinforcing the building's connection to the surrounding landscape. Natural daylight reaches every occupied space through an innovative spatial organization and a high-performance building envelope. Certified LEED Silver and recognized with both an OAQ Excellence Award and the Governor General's Medal in Architecture, the project stands as a benchmark where architectural quality, occupant well-being, and sustainability come together in a refined and enduring design.
